WNYYMBL has truly had a wonderful first year of its Academic Tutoring program. Here’s the year in review!
Our group worked hard day in and day in to satisfy their educational requirements. Just steps from Buffalo’s city hall, the children’s section of Buffalo’s Central library was a more than suitable home for the first part of our day. We held our foreign language and cultural studies classes at ICAWNY/Masjid Eiman. This site would also be the home for our largest event of the year, IRUSA’s Day of Dignity, where our students along with other dedicated volunteers would help us give back to our neighbors. Our students also made time this past winter to give back for community service at a local hospital. In 2017-2018, we are looking forward to expanding our academic program to include a complimentary elementary program. Thank you to all of our volunteers, members, donors, business partners and sponsors. WNYYMBL…we’re more than sports!
